During the course of an unrelated investigation, detectives with the Westchester Police Department identified a subject living under an assumed identity who was determined to be a fugitive from justice.
Investigators confirmed the individual was wanted out of Maricopa County, Arizona, and had been living under the alias, Thomas Hawkins, in the 1500 block of Westchester Boulevard. The subject was later positively identified as Thomas S. Hager (60), who is a registered sex offender with prior charges related to child molestation.
On January 21, 2026, WPD investigators took Hager into custody without incident. He was charged locally with Obstructing Justice and having an active arrest warrant out of Maricopa County.
Hager is currently being held at a Cook County holding facility pending extradition proceedings.
